Why did this impact me so much?

Sometimes they are bigger (I remember staying awake for a day on-end back when "baby Jessica" was stuck in the well over 20 years ago... ) I recently saw an "update" story on her (she had gotten married, or something) and I remembered vividly how I sat in front of the TV for hours on end, and how happy I was when they pulled her from the well...
